To support EUREKA’s mission of strengthening industrial competitiveness through innovation, the EUREKA Secretariat, based in Brussels, is offering:

Internship – Research analyst

EUREKA is looking for a graduate with skills in quantitative and qualitative research for a 6-month remunerated internship in the second half of 2017. The position relates to a high-level impact assessment project which will employ mixed methods to measure EUREKA’s impact in providing public support to innovation across its network.

The position will require rapid learning and autonomous work within EUREKA’s data analysis / impact team. The selected candidate will gather and analyse data from a wide range of sources, apply statistical methods, and assist in drafting a final report.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Expertise in quantitative analysis and application of statistical methods
  • Ability to quickly understand, assimilate and analyse unfamiliar data
  • Experience in writing research-driven documents in English
  • Familiarity with qualitative research methods (or ability to understand in a short space of time)
  • Familiarity with priorities for European public support for R&D&I aimed at SMEs (or ability to learn in a short space of time)
  • Ability to turning data analysis into clear and impactful visuals, using Tableau or similar software
  • Fluency (spoken and written) in English
  • University degree with a significant emphasis on statistics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel or other data analysis software

WHAT WE OFFER

  • 6-month remunerated contract (gross 751 EUR/month) subject to Belgian taxation. Fringe benefits such as meal vouchers will be granted

  • Start date: mid-July (exact date subject to receiving agreement from ‘Bruxelles Formation’)
