CALL FOR APPLICATIONS – European Project Manager in Education & Training

The European Association of Communications Agencies (EACA), a Brussels-based organisation which represents full-service advertising, media agencies and agency associations in Europe, is currently recruiting a European Project Manager in Education & Training, starting in September 2017.

The successful candidate’s key responsibility is to support the Director for European Affairs in running edcom, the European Institute of Commercial Communications Education, by contributing to the success and sustainability of the following projects:

Membership

Run the European Institute of Commercial Communications Education and contribute to edcom’s long term success and sustainability:

  • Be the key contact for all edcom members and requests
  • Organise three annual edcom meetings taking place across Europe
  • Assist the Director with the annual planning and the budget
  • Build new relationships with potential new members
edcom President & Committees agenda 20 %

Develop the edcom strategy and new projects with members:

  • Work close with the edcom President to fulfill his/her 2 years’ agenda
  • Support the President in running the Board
  • Help the Head of the Research Committee with the Research Committee agenda

Ad Venture student competition 

15 %

Run the annual competition:

  • Initiate brief and liaise with clients
  • Promote the competition across members & beyond
  • Select the jury and organise the judging (first, second and third round)
  • Monitor platform (student registrations and judging)
  • Arrange students’ travels and accommodation
Thesis Competition 5 %

Work on the annual competition:

  • Promote the competition across members
  • Organise the call for entries and judging (first, second and third round)
  • Promote the winners
Others 5%

Further potential projects

  • Find speakers and run monthly podcasts
  • Support or draft proposal(s) to apply for EU grants to fund new education initiatives
Miscellaneous 5 %
  • Write press releases and newsletters to disseminate projects within and beyond membership;
  • Elaborate and run surveys to help improve the projects;
  • Update the website
  • Other ad hoc task as requested by the Director

The successful candidate must:

  • Be fluent in English, both oral and written, as it is the working language of the organisation (other languages are an advantage);
  • Have completed at least a Bachelor level degree;
  • Have at least 2-3 years’ experience in project management;
  • Be hard-working, honest and have a good eye for detail;
  • Have the ability to work with different nationalities;
  • Have strong organisation and communication skills;
  • Have strong computer skills (Microsoft office, website interface, social media platforms);
  • Have an interest in the communications and/ or education sector;
  • Be a citizen of a European Economic Area Member State.
  • EU funding skills are an advantage
